Updates - SVHacks, Feb 20th-21st @ Sunnyvale

Hey Hackers,

 

We want to thank you for the tremendous response we have received from you for SVHacks, including over 200 registrations and counting. Please note some key information about the event below:

 

  1. Sponsors: We have also partnered with sponsors of the likes of Pinterest, Theranos, Juniper, Youtube, Alphonso, Cisco, IEEE and more.

  2. Date/Venue/Agenda:

    1. Saturday 21st Feb 2016 at 1pm

    2. Juniper Aspiration Dome (1081 5th Ave. Sunnyvale, CA).

    3. Detailed event agenda at event page and attached at the bottom of this mail.

  3. APIs: We will soon be releasing the sponsor apis to provide you a backbone support to build upon and realise your dreams faster. Please keep checking the event page for more details. We want you to use this as a platform to unleash your creativity and make your ideas come to life.

  4. Hackathon team:Ideal team size would be 3-5 ppl. Get on Dev Post to find teammates, discuss ideas and interact with other hackers.

  5. Judging Criterias: Winners will be decided based on the Impressiveness, Usefulness/Practicality, Business Potential of the idea among other things.

  6. Prizes:

    1. First prize: 1 Samsung Virtual Reality headset per person + $750 Amazon gift card per person

    2. Second prize: 1 BB-8 Sphero per person + $350 Amazon gift card per person

    3. Third prize: 1 Syma Explorers 6-Axis Quadcopter + $200 Amazon gift card per person

In addition, we also have some more cool team and individual prizes up for grabs, including Amazon Echos, Roku 3 Streaming Media Players, Leap Motion controllers and Arduino Starter Kits.
